The major Pärnu Summer Race 2026 circuit racing event will take place this weekend in the Estonian resort city of Pärnu, bringing together an impressive field of competitors. More than 170 drivers from nine countries are expected to take to the grid at the event organised by “Baltic Racing Series” - making it a record of entries in recent years. Alongside the Baltic Touring Car Championship, Porsche Ring will also host rounds of the Estonian Formula Historic Championship and the Polish Circuit Racing Championship, as well as the Mitjet Baltics and Baltic Time Attack series. Saturday will be the main day for spectators, featuring sprint races throughout the day before concluding with a spectacular two-hour endurance race involving nearly 40 teams.
The race weekend for teams and drivers will begin on Thursday at Porsche Ring, Pärnu with test sessions. The action will become more serious on Friday, with official practice sessions beginning early in the morning, followed by qualifying in the afternoon. The first races for some classes will then get underway at 17:35 on Friday evening. Saturday’s opening race will start at 10:00, with ten sprint races scheduled throughout the day. From 17:20 to 19:20, the programme will conclude with an exciting and action-packed two-hour endurance race. A total of 38 crews have already entered the combined Hankook Endurance Challenge, Nankang Endurance Academy and WSMP race.
As always, spectators can look forward to exciting battles across the Baltic Touring Car Championship classes. The Polish championship competitors are also certain to deliver plenty of memorable moments, arriving in strong numbers with their Fiat and Mini race cars. The Estonian Formula Historic Championship will feature an equally impressive field, with 22 drivers on the grid. Five of them will compete in the fast and modern Formula “OPEN” class.
Among the Baltic championship categories, the “BMW 325 CUP” is certain to stand out, with 17 drivers ready to battle for victories, podium finishes and valuable championship points. Following the opening rounds, Matīss Maļinovskis of Latvia leads the standings ahead of Laimonas Starkevičius of Lithuania, Dmitrijs Gorņevs of Latvia, Karol Wyka of Poland and Darius Gaidulionis of Lithuania. After a challenging start to the season, Latvian racing legend Jānis Horeliks will also be looking to join the fight at the front.
The GT class races will undoubtedly be among the most impressive spectacles of the weekend, both visually and in terms of sound. The 14-car GT field includes a Mercedes-AMG GT3 and two Lamborghini Huracáns, promising an unforgettable symphony of racing engines. The combined V1600, ABC Race and DN6 races are also expected to provide plenty of excitement, with 26 competitors sharing the track. Although the BMW TURBO CUP grid is smaller than usual on this occasion, the fight for victory and the podium is still set to be intense. Aurimas Mištautas of Lithuania currently leads the standings, but Latvian drivers Artjoms Kočlamazašvili and Rolands Alfredsons, together with fellow Lithuanian Mantas Jasiulevičius, are close behind.
While the Baltic Touring Car Championship classes will conclude their races on Saturday evening, the Estonian Formula Historic Championship will hold its races on Sunday. Baltic Time Attack competitors will also take to the track, while the Polish championship classes will contest their third races of the weekend.
